OBERNBERG, THE RIDGE AND THE LAKE

It is time to visit another of the Wipptal side valleys. We would like to show you Obernberg with its beautiful mountain lake and the the border ridge with Italy.  The local bus will take you to Steinach where you can change to the bus for the Obernberg valley.  

After 37 min of transfer you will be ready to start the ascent to the ridge of Allerleigrubenspitze, which will serve with a spectacular view of the Obernberg Tribulaun and the crystaline lake. Next and the hikes highest point is the peak of Hoher Lorenzen. From now on we will be crossing the austro-italian border many times until Sandesjoch.

Once at the lake of Obernberg it´s time for a cool dip and rest. The remaining short part to the bus will show you original tyrolian farming culture.
